Schubart Blasting Through Prestigious Cape Cod League

Good Morning OSU Fam. Millions each summer travel to Cape Cod to enjoy the sights and some relaxation.

Opposing pitchers in the Cape Cod aren’t relaxing anytime soon thanks to the bat of Nolan Schubart, who is blasting his way through the prestigious summer league.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 67 DAYS

Number of the Day: 67.

The longest pass play of the 2023 season game in a road win at Cincinnati when the Cowboys enjoyed a breakout game from WR Leon Johnson III.

Johnson III and Bowman connected on a 67-yard reception to set up
an Alex Hale FG en route to a 45-13 Pokes victory.

🔺 Summer Shinin’. Only a few weeks into the summer season, Nolan Schubart is picking up right where he left off.

The All-American standout is blowing up the prestigious Cape Cod League, raking home a monster OPS of 1.217 through the first two weeks.

Schubart has five extra base hits in eight games, including a team-high three HRs and five RBIs for the Brewster Whitecaps.

🔺 Welcome Aboard, Cowboy. For the second time this month, the OSU men’s golf squad grabbed a transfer from California.

This time, Coach Bratton announced the addition of Eric Lee, who joins former Cal teammate Ethan Fang in coming to Stillwater.

As a freshman for the Golden Bears, Lee competed in 12 events. The Fullerton, Calif., native won his debut, firing a 3-under 213 total at the Marquette Intercollegiate. He would go on to post top-15 showings in his next two starts as well.

After finishing 13th at the Western Intercollegiate, Lee tied for 13th place at the Pac-12 Championship before tying for seventh place at the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional. He finished the year with a 71.91 stroke average.

Lee received Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honorable mention honors and was named the league's golfer of the week in September.
