It was a career high in tackles, leading the Cowboys with 140,
and a career-high in TFLs with 16. The 16 TFLs ranked 20th
among all FBS players.

Veteran OSU QB Alan Bowman earned a watch list nod of his own this week as he was named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list on Wednesday.

The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recognizes the top senior or upperclassmen quarterback that is set to graduate with their class.

Bowman is coming off a successful 2023 season in which he helped lead the Cowboys to 10 wins and an appearance in the Big 12 Championship game. He threw for 247.1 yards per game throughout the year, good for second in the conference, and added 17 total touchdowns.

In his collegiate career, he has totaled over 8,800 yards of total offense in 39 games played throughout his career and eclipsed more than 50 total touchdowns responsible for. 

🔼 Fightin’ Fang. While he hasn’t officially put on the OSU gear, Ethan Fang is showing just how bright the future is for the Cowboys golf squad.

He started the day by clinching one of the final 11 spots through two playoff holes.

Then, Fang, new to OSU after transferring from Cal, took his game to match play, where he toppled his opponent 2-up to advance to today’s Round of 32.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Not once, not twice, but 3️⃣ times now.

That’s how often the veteran defensive duo of Nick Martin and Collin Oliver have earned a spot on preseason watch lists. This week, the pair were named to the Butkus Award preseason list.

Now in its 40th season, the Butkus Award honors the top linebacker in the country. The award's watch list contains 51 total student-athletes, including seven from the Big 12 Conference. OSU is one of just seven teams with multiple players on the list.

This list marks the third preseason award watch list to include both Martin and Oliver, who were also selected to the Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy watch lists earlier this summer.
