🔼 So Fresh, So Clean. Another game, another clean sheet.

The shutout streak lived on for the OSU soccer program on Thursday night as the Cowgirls earned their EIGHTH straight clean sheet en route to a 1-0 victory in their Big 12 opener on the road against a pesky Baylor squad.

Less than 20 minutes into the contest, Xcaret Pineda blasted one home off a corner from Laudan Wilson to grab a 1-0 lead and that’s all the stifling OSU defense would need.

This incredible play by Grace Gordon with less than three minutes remaining preserved her sixth shutout of the season and 12th of her career.

🔼 Road Trippin’. The second longest rival in OSU history is renewed tomorrow with the turnpike trip over to Tulsa to battle the Golden Hurricanes.

Tomorrow’s meeting is the 77th in program history as OU is the only program that the Cowboys have faced off more regularly.

The last meeting came in 2021 with OSU pulling out a 28-23 victory for its ninth straight win in the series.

All-time, the Cowboys lead the head-to-head series, 44-27-5, with Coach Gundy holding a 6-0 ledger against TU.

The two teams, separated by just 72 miles, will meet annually from 2024 until 2031, with Tulsa hosting at H.A. Chapman Stadium in even years and OSU hosting in Boone Pickens Stadium in odd years.

🔼 En Fuego. Warning to all minor league pitchers, Carson McCusker can SMASH.

Recently promoted to Triple-A St. Paul (Twins organization), McCusker has a hit in 13 of 15 games with the Saints, including four HRs, highlighted by this one in last night’s contest.

Including his time at Double-A, the former OSU star has 12 extra-base hits and 18 RBIs in his last 18 games.

As the old school SportsCenter announcers would say, he’s “En Fuego”.
