🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 18 DAYS

The Hunt For 18.

Last season, Oklahoma State posted its 17th consecutive winning season. Its the third longest active streak in the country right now behind Boise State (25) and Wisconsin (21).

Over that stretch, the Orange and Black are 152-68 (.691).

Let’s go get #18.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

Let’s Get It Started. The streak of 17 consecutive winning seasons started back in 2006, Coach Gunday’s second season at the helm of the Cowboys.

During that season, OSU sat at 6-6 and entered the Independence Bowl looking to earn that winning season.

They did just that with a victory over which program?

Think you got it?

Third times a charm?

Not exactly sure if that’s how you’d describe it, but it’s taken three stops for Xavier Benson to finally feel at home on the college football field. His journey has been anything but easy.

In his three on the field seasons in college Benson has 253 tackles. In his first season in Stillwater, Benson tallied 76 tackles, which is the most from any returning defender in 2023.

His first season as a Cowboy taught him several lessons that he hopes fuels himself and the team this season.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Alabama.

That’s right, back in 2006, the Cowboys won an absolute thriller, 34-31 with a last second field from Jason Ricks.

Some guy named Nick Saban was hired by Alabama shortly after this victory.

🤠 Have a great Tuesday, ya’ll!
