🔼 Spring Cleaning. Who doesn’t love a good sweep? The latest opponent to fall to Oklahoma State baseball was East Tennessee State—and when we say the Cowboys took care of business… they took care of business. Let’s talk about it.

First, Oklahoma State started its home series strong Friday, winning 7-4 at O'Brate Stadium to start the weekend strong.

Next step was taking the series. In their final non-conference series of the season, the Pokes clinched a series win with a 17-7 victory on Saturday.

Finally, it was time to get the brooms out. Nolan Schubart tied the Oklahoma State record for home runs and RBIs in a game to lead the 16th-ranked Cowboys to a 20-7 run-rule win over East Tennessee State in seven innings.

With the series sweep, the Pokes improved to 33-14 on the season while also mingling with the record books on the weekend series—the Cowboys’ 44 combined runs across play marked the program's most runs in a series since 2010 when they tallied 46 runs in a four-game set against Massachusetts.

OSU returns to Big 12 action on Friday when the Cowboys open their final regular season home series against Kansas State.

🔼 Looking Forward. The No. 7/6 Oklahoma State Softball team dropped Sunday's contest to No. 1/1 Oklahoma, 5-1, at Cowgirl Stadium.

With the result, OSU moved to 41-13 overall and 10-8 in Big 12 play. Oklahoma moved to 49-1 and 18-0 against conference opposition.

The Cowgirls begin postseason play with the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City from May 11-13. OSU is set to open the tournament against Kansas on Thursday, May 11, with a 6 p.m. start time; the game will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on The Varsity Network.

🔼 One Last Ride. Oklahoma State's men's tennis team fell to No. 15 Arizona, 4-0, in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

With the loss, the 44th-ranked Cowboys capped the season with a 14-14 mark.

This came after the team overcame No. 20 Florida, 4-2, and advanced to the Tucson Region final on Friday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

🔼 Bounce Back. Oklahoma State's 17th-ranked women's tennis team saw its season come to a close on Saturday afternoon as the Cowgirls fell, 4-1, to No. 6 Stanford in a tightly contested battle.

This comes after starting things out with a victory. They secured a 4-1 victory over No. 48 Denver on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Taube Family Tennis Center.

OSU finished its 2022-23 campaign at 16-8 overall, including a 7-2 mark in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls also advanced to the second round for the ninth time in the last ten NCAA tournaments.

Although the Cowgirl's team campaign comes to an end, Miyamoto and Gonzalez will be back in action for the NCAA Individual Championships taking place May 22-28 in Orlando, Florida.

🔼 Finishing Strong. Oklahoma State track & field wrapped up its outdoor regular season Friday at the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville, Ark.

Several Cowboys and Cowgirls sat atop the podium of their respective events, including multiple podiums full of orange and black and two athletes setting meet records.

  • Kian Davis led a quartet of Cowboys who finished in the top five in the 3,000 Meters. Running unattached, Davis separated himself from the pack early, ultimately finishing the race with a personal best time of 8:18.98. His finish broke a nine-year-old meet record set by Oklahoma City's David Mountford in 2014.

  • Grant Wilcox and Ben Calusinski joined Davis on the podium, finishing in 8:38.62 and 8:45.23, respectively. Wyatt Landis was the other Cowboy in the top five with an 8:51.17 finish.

  • Cowgirl throwers had an impressive day with both Hannah Bradford and Rachel Neaves bringing home individual victories.

The Cowboys and Cowgirls will now turn to the postseason, as they travel to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Big 12 Outdoor Championship from May 13-15.
