🔺 Homebodies. For a fifth straight season, the Cowgirls are staying home.
OSU was announced as the #5 national seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and will host Kentucky, Michigan and Northern Colorado at this weekend’s Stillwater regional.
Action starts Friday at 2 p.m. CT when Kentucky faces Michigan. OSU and Northern Colorado are scheduled to meet at 4:30 p.m. CT.
This marks the fifth consecutive season in which Oklahoma State earned the right to host an NCAA Regional and the fourth straight season in which the Cowgirls secured a top-eight national seed. This year's No. 5 national seed matches 2021 for the best in program history.
This is OSU's eighth consecutive trip to the NCAA Softball Championship and its 26th appearance all time.
🔺 Pokin’ Around. Despite only getting two of the three games in, the power display of the Cowboys was in full effect.
OSU took the opening two games against visiting Texas Tech before having the finale cancelled due to the weather. The Cowboys defeated the Red Raiders 16-4 and 9-3, blasting 9️⃣ HRs in the two games.
Entering next weekend’s final Big 12 series, the Orange and Black sit in second with a series against Houston on tap for a chance at a first round bye in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament.
🔺 Storm Chasers. Despite battling the weather all weekend long in Waco, the OSU track & field squads came back to Stillwater with plenty of hardware.
Four different Pokes claimed individual titles to highlight the weekend, Gabby Hentemann in the 10,000m, Molly Born in the 5,000m, Gabija Galvydyte in the 800m and Alex Maier in the 5,000m.
Maier and Galvydyte were repeat winners from the Big 12 meet a year ago, while Born and Hentemann were first-time winners for the Cowgirls.
