This weekend, the nationally-ranked Cowboys will hit the mats at GIA not once, but ✌️ with duals on Friday against Lehigh and Sunday brings Bedlam to the mats.
Recently, OSUMax sat down with legendary head coach John Smith and associate head coach Coleman Scott, who is back in his new role after eight seasons leading the North Carolina wrestling program.
Smith and Scott along with the rest of the coaching staff are hoping to get the program they love back on track and in the national title hunt.

🔼 Playing With the Dogs. Time to hit the road for the OSU men’s hoops team, who will head north to take on the Salukis of Southern Illinois in the first true road game of the 2023-24 season.
The Orange & Black will look to bounce back from a tough home loss to nationally-ranked Creighton last week.
Transfer guard Javon Small, who is coming off a 24-point performance, is leading the way for the Cowboys, averaging 15.7 points per outing.
🔼 Off And Running. Just a few weeks after celebrating ✌️ top-three national finishes, including a national championship, the OSU track & field/cross country programs were back at it, and yet again, records were falling.
The Pokes opened up their indoor track season this past weekend in Boston at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, where several records were broken.
Multi-time All-American Gabija Galvydyte officially kicked off the OSU indoor slate in impressive fashion, taking home the meet victory in the women's mile with an NCAA-leading time of 4:33.29.
On the men's side, the Cowboys continued the record-breaking trend as cross country All-American Brian Musau ran the fourth-fastest 3,000 Meter race in NCAA history with his time of 7:38.04. Musau's mark also broke Cowboy national champion Fouad Messaoudi's school record in the event by over three seconds.
🎳 H-TOWN BOUND
The sixth-longest active bowl streak in the country is set to take on the Texas Bowl for the second time in program history.
On Sunday, the Cowboys were selected to take on Texas A&M on December 27th at NRG Stadium in Houston. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
It will be OSU's fourth bowl game played in Houston, as the Cowboys have a 2-1 bowl record in the city with appearances in the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl, the 2002 Houston Bowl and the 2019 Texas Bowl.
The Cowboys have won five of their past seven bowl games, with the most recent win coming via a 37-35 defeat over then No. 5 Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl at the end of the 2021 season.
The 2023 Texas Bowl marks the 29th meeting between Oklahoma State and Texas A&M, with the series dating back to 1913. The teams played each other every year as members of the Big 12 Conference from 1996-2011 and faced each other twice before in bowl games, including a 1981 Independence Bowl matchup and a 2019 Texas Bowl matchup. The Cowboys have won four of the past five meetings between the two schools.
