🔺 Bengin’ Out. It was a Benge party in Arlington.

OSU star Carson Benge displayed yet again why he is one of the best two-way players in the country, tossing nearly seven strong innings on the mound, while going 3-for-5 at the plate to help the second-seeded Cowboys advance in the Big 12 Tournament with a 7-2 win over Texas Tech.

With the win, the Cowboys, who entered the tournament ranked 17th in the country, advance to a Thursday night showdown with UCF for a spot in the winner’s bracket final.

Benge worked 6 1/3 innings, racking up a career-high 10 strikeouts and allowing just one earned run and three hits. With the win, he moved to 3-1 on the season.

Zach Ehrhard homered and collected three RBIs to lead the Cowboys offensively, and Robert Cranz held the Red Raiders scoreless and struck out four over the final two innings to help secure the win.

🔺 Three’s Company. It was a busy opening day at the NCAA West Prelims and already, the Pokes are making their plans for Oregon.

For the first time in program history, three Cowboys will compete in the men's 10,000 Meter Final at the NCAA Outdoor Championships as Denis Kipngetich, Adisu Guadie and Alex Maier each placed in the top 12 to secure their berths.

Kipngetich nearly took home the regional victory, going all the way to the line with New Mexico's Habtom Samuel, who narrowly edged out Kipngetich. Guadie and Maier ran patient races, sticking with the lead pack as it dwindled down to 11 men with roughly a mile to go. From there, the pair cruised to tenth and 11th-place finishes, respectively.

Earlier on Wednesday, Alex Stitt and Fouad Messaoudi each secured a spot in the next round of the 1500m on Friday, while Hafez Mahadi and Mehdi Yanouri both advanced in the 800m.

🔺 Special Ks. For the second time in two days, the Cowgirls are taking home All-American accolades.

On Tuesday, Ange Oby Kajuru earned All-American status on the singles court.

On Wednesday, she joined partner Anastasiya Komar with more All-American honors, this time on the doubles court.

The duo defeated Kira Reuter and Amelia Honer of UCSB in a tiebreaker, 7-5, 4-6 [10-6] to advance to the Elite Eight and clinch All-American status. This is Komar's third All-America selection and first as a Cowgirl, while Kajuru collects her second All-America honor, both coming this season.

Kajuru and Komar will continue their run through the doubles draw against No. 33 Anessa Lee and Celia-Belle Mohr of Vanderbilt at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
