🏈 HOUSTON, WE HAVE NO PROBLEM

What a Wednesday night it was in Houston!

The Pokes got offensive at the 2023 Texas Bowl and rolled to a 31-23 victory over Texas A&M, piling up records upon records in the win.

Junior WR Rashod Owens led the attack with a 10 catch, 164 yard performance, including two TDs to take home the MVP honors for the night.

Fellow wideout Brennan Presley tied a school-record with 16 catches (good for 152 yards) and Ollie did what Ollie always does with 118 yards and a TD in the contest.

Veteran QB Alan Bowman became the first Cowboy in program history to throw for 400+ yards, finishing 34-for-49 with 402 yards and two TDs. The 34 completions were the most given up by Texas A&M all season, a defense that ranked seventh nationally entering the game.

With the victory, the Cowboys have now won 10 or more games EIGHT times during Coach Gundy’s tenure.

Prior to Coach Gundy’s arrival in Stillwater, the Orange & Black had reached 10 or more wins just three times in the program history.

👟 THE RUNNING MAN

With his Texas Bowl performance of 122 all-purpose yards, Ollie Gordon II became just the ✋ Cowboy all-time to tally over 2,000 all-purpose yards in a single-season.

The only other Cowboys to reach the mark are Barry Sanders (3,526 in 1988), Chuba Hubbard (2,334 in 2019), Thurman Thomas (2,130 in 1987) and Terry Miller (2,009 in 1976).
