🔼 Decisive Victory. The No. 9/9 Oklahoma State softball team dominated on both sides of the ball in Game One of the NCAA Stillwater Super Regional as they beat No. 19/19 Oregon by a score of 8-1 last night at Cowgirl Stadium. With the win, OSU improved to 45-14, while Oregon fell to 38-16. The Cowgirls elevated their all-time record in the Super Regional round of the NCAA DI Softball Championship to 9-3, including each of the last four.

Senior right-hander Lexi Kilfoyl got the nod and proceeded to go the distance, allowing just one earned run in her complete-game performance, her team-leading 10th of the season.

With eight runs last night, the Cowgirls of 2023 have now scored a program record 360 runs as a team—surpassing the previous program record of 352 runs scored, which both the 2019 and 2021 Cowgirls reached.

The Pokes look to clinch their fourth-consecutive Women's College World Series berth in Game Two of the NCAA Stillwater Super Regional this evening at 5:00pm CT. The game is set to be televised nationally on ESPN2.

🔼 Turn The Page. Oklahoma State men’s basketball’s Keiton Page has been elevated into the role of assistant coach after serving as the director of player development—analyzing game and practice film, developing advanced metrics that aid in coaching, and assisting in alumni events. He also played a large role in the team’s recruiting efforts, as well as video scouting, game preparations and individual skill development.

A standout in his playing days, Keiton Page arrived in Stillwater in 2008 as one of the most heralded players in Oklahoma high school basketball history and went on to score 1,651 career points for the Cowboys, a mark that ranks 10th in school history and earned two All-Big 12 selections.

🔼 Born To Run. Cowgirl track & field took on the second day of the NCAA West Prelims yesterday as Molly Born punched her ticket to NCAAs and several Cowgirls advancing to their respective quarterfinals. The graduate student highlighted the first day of competition for the Cowgirls by qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas, for the first time in her career with a school record in the 10,000 Meters.

Additionally, three Cowgirls advanced to the quarterfinals of their respective events, with two of them earning automatic qualifications by winning their heats.

Molly Born entered the race as the No. 28 qualifier in the West Region, but it didn't stop her from earning a top-12 finish to move onto the finals as she spent most of the race in the middle of the pack before gradually moving up the order to her ultimate eighth-place finish. Her time of 32:42.93 breaks OSU's 37-year-old program record in the event by almost 10 seconds. The previous record was set in 1986 by Christine McMiken in the NCAA Championships. The two Cowgirls are the only in school history to go sub-33 minutes in the 10K.

🔼 Stayin’ Alive. Oklahoma State staved off elimination at the Big 12 Baseball Championship as the second-seeded Cowboys topped third-seeded West Virginia by a score of 3-2 at Globe Life Field.

The duo of Nolan McLean and Juaron Watts-Brown led the way for OSU with strong showings on the mound—McLean made his second career start and allowed just two runs on four hits while striking out four in six innings of work, while Watts-Brown came out of the bullpen for the first time this season to open the seventh and tossed three shutout innings to earn the win and improve to 6-4.

Roc Riggio was the hero offensively as he smacked a go-ahead single in the bottom of the eighth inning off WVU All-Big 12 closer Carlson Reed.

Up next? Oklahoma State and Oklahoma get a quick turn rematch as they’ll face each other tonight. First pitch is at 6:30pm CT.

The annual Cowboys vs. Cancer Golf Tournament at the Stillwater Country Club was another success in 2023 raising $58,500 on the golfer auction alone. It is a time for former Cowboys and Cowgirls to come back and help support the Eddie Sutton Foundation, which gives back to pediatric cancer.

Several of the survivors are in attendance each year—and this year there were scholarships handed out for the first time.
