📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Defending Home Turf. Owls are landing at Patterson Stadium tonight.

Who, Who, you ask? That’s Florida Atlantic visiting Stillwater to take on the Cowgirls in the third game of the season.

OSU will look to defend home turf, a place they’ve posted a 35-4-4 mark over the past 5+ seasons.

Its the second straight season that FAU and OSU have faced off with the two programs battling to a 0-0 draw in Boca Raton last fall.

🔼 Pokes In the Playoffs. All year long, we’ve seen Pro Pokes put our #GolfSchool on display.

This weekend, a trio of former Cowboys will be amongst the elite 30-man field at the 2023 PGA Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club outside of Atlanta, Ga.

Wyndham Clark, Rickie Fowler and Viktor Hovland all finished in the top-30 of the FedEx Cup standings to earn a spot in this weekend’s tournament.

Today’s tee time for the three former OSU stars: Fowler (11:54 CT), Clark (12:16 CT) and Hovland (1:00 CT).

The Golf Channel, ESPN and CBS will be covering the tournament all weekend long.

🔼 Global Gabby. Before starting classes for the semester, Gabija Galvydyte did quite a good job on her last summer project.

Competing at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest for her home country of Lithuania, Galvydyte finished top-30 in the world in the 800m with a time of 2:00.79.

Top-30 in the world? Not too shabby, we’d say.

🔼 Eyes On Us. Who doesn’t love a Reese’s?

Three of our Cowboys are looking to enjoy some next spring as Brennan Presley, Dalton Cooper and Alan Bowman were all named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 74 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1,100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year.

This past April, the game produced 100 total picks for the third straight year, representing 40 percent of the entire NFL draft, including 40 selected on the first two days.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 9 DAYS

The Date? Sept. 1, 2012.
The Location? Boone Pickens Stadium.
The Opponent? Savannah State.

9️⃣ Rushing TDs by the Cowboys.

That’s right, it all started just over 3 minutes into the game when Joseph Randle found the end zone from two yards out.

He would be one of four Cowboys to post rushing TDs that day. Desmond Roland and Jeremy Smith each scored three apiece, Randle scored twice and Corey Bennett scored once.

That single-game program record still exists to this day.
