🔼 All In The Family. We keep telling ya’ll… there’s something special about Stillwater.
Two former OSU teammates are returning to join the Cowboys’ baseball coaching staff as Mark Ginther steps into the program’s recruiting coordinator role and Victor Romero into an assistant coaching role.
Ginther returns to Stillwater after spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach at West Virginia. The Tulsa native was a standout infielder for the Cowboys from 2009-12 before serving four seasons on the OSU staff from 2015-18.
Romero played two seasons for the Cowboys in 2012 and 2013 and has served in a variety of roles within the program over the last decade, including the last seven as a full-time staff member.

🔼 Putting Ink On It. Earlier this month, OSU continued its long-standing tradition of multiple selections in the annual MLB draft.
This year, the Cowboys had six players selected in the 2023 MLB Draft, five of them coming in the top 10 rounds.
OSU's five picks in the first 10 rounds tied for the second-most in program history. A record seven Cowboys were top 10 round picks in 2022, and the Pokes previously had five selections in 1984, 2008 and 2016.
In 11 years under head coach Josh Holliday, OSU has now had 64 MLB Draft picks, with 27 of those going in the first 10 rounds.
This week? Those picks are putting some ink to contracts as Juaron Watts-Brown (Blue Jays), Nolan McLean (Mets), Roc Riggio (Yankees) and Marcus Brown (Nationals) all signed their official pro contracts.
Congrats fellas, go show them what you’re made of!
🔼 Three Of A Kind. Cowboy Wrestling have long been associated with Team USA Wrestling and this weekend is no different.
Three Cowboys are part of the Team USA Roster that is competing in the prestigious Poland Open in Warsaw on Sunday, July 30.
Dalton Fix (61 kg), Dustin Plott (79 kg) and Braden Thompson (86 kg) will all be in action during the men’s freestyle competition that will start on Sunday at 4 a.m. CST.
🔼 Our Favorite Jonas. You all can have Nick, Joe and Kevin? We’ll take Baumgartner.
That’s right, the debate over who your favorite Jonas is should be simple, it’s Jonas Baumgartner from the OSU men’s golf squad.
This past spring for the Cowboys, Baumgartner received honorable mention All-America status and was named a first-team All-Big 12 pick.
He tallied five top-10 finishes on the year. He picked up his first career victory this spring at the Mountaineer Invitational and had runner-up showings at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and the Big 12 Championship.
In partnership with the World Amateur Golf Ranking, PGA TOUR University ranks players based on the last two years of their collegiate careers. Eligible tournaments include NCAA Division I men's team competitions, official PGA TOUR tournaments and select DP World Tour events.
On the first episode of questions with @williams_quion, we sit down with new Cowboy @JustinMcbride23 to learn a little about the Freshman. 🤠

🔼 Getting to Know You….. Watch out folks, Quion Williams has a microphone!
That’s right, throughout the summer, we’ll be sitting down with Quion and a new face of his choice so our Orange and Black faithful get a sneak peek into who some of our newest Cowboys are and their personalities.
🔼 The Honors Court. Holding court in the classroom? That’s exactly what the OSU men’s hoops team did this past year.
Rising seniors Weston Church and Carson Sager were named to the NABC Honors Court and the Cowboys collectively earned the organization's Team Academic Excellence Award.
🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 36 DAYS
36 solo tackles.
That’s what hard-hitting Xavier Benson put on display last fall as the redshirt senior returns for his final year in Stillwater as the team’s leading returning tackler from 2022.
In total, Benson finished with 76 tackles on the year, four of which were for a loss. He also added eight QB hurries and two pass breakups.
The Texarkana, Texas native, who came to OSU after two years at Tyler Junior College, tallied seven or more tackles in seven of the Cowboys’ 13 games last fall.
🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

The Cowboys and Cowgirls will be looking to defend their back-to-back titles on both the men’s and women’s side.
