Cowboy Brew 8/20: Welcome Back, Welcome Back, Welcome Back!

Cowboys, Cowgirls Welcome Kids Back To School

Good Morning Pokes. Everyone needs a friend sometime, right? Especially on the first day back to school!

What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check It Out Below!

🤼‍♂️ Worth The Wait
👏 Making An Impact
🎥 OSUMax: Embrace The Grind, Ep. 3 is LIVE!
🤠 And so much more!

🎥 OSUMAX: EMBRACE THE GRIND, EP. 3️⃣

It takes a lot to get through a grueling fall camp.

A big part of success starts with making sure you are fueled for
the long days on the field, in meetings and in the weight room.

Learn more about how that happens at OSU. Also go inside the wide receiver position as the guys prepare for another big season on the gridiron.

👏 MAKING AN IMPACT

School is underway all across the country as kids returned
to the classrooms, including right in Stillwater.

Some of our littlest friends got some visitors in their return
as Cowboy wrestlers and softball student-athletes joined
in on the fun to welcome them back!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Different Scene, Same Result. Sometime, the wait is worth it.

For former OSU All-American Jordan Oliver, the year-plus wait to return to the octagon was exactly that as he came away victorious in his PFL debut, taking a unanimous decision over Braydon Akeo. He is now 2-0 in his professional MMA career.

While at OSU, Oliver was a two-time NCAA individual champion, four-time
All-American and four-time Big 12 champion. He also had a successful international career, winning the U.S. National Championships in 2019.

🔼 Ready To Run. The futbol and football squads aren’t the only ones in Stillwater preparing for this fall.

Two of the nation’s top cross country teams last fall, the Cowboys and Cowgirls are ready for another big season on the course as training is in full force for the upcoming season.

OSU’s season opener is set for next Friday, August 30th at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course.

🎥 OSUMAX: CAMP CHECK-IN

We’re halfway through camp and the Pokes are ready to roll!

OSUMax went campin’ to see how the Pokes are preparing for the upcoming season kickoff.

⏱ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 11 DAYS

Number of the Day: 11

We got some brotherly love on the Cowboys and #11 is part of that tandem as Dylan Smith is back and ready to do some damage with his brother, Cam.

As a true freshman, he played in each of the last 10 games, including
his first career start at UCF. He was the only OSU true freshman
to make a start last season.

Oh yeah, he made a couple big plays during Bedlam, including
a second half INT and a HUGE fourth-down tackle to close the game.

We can’t to see what Dylan has in store for the Cowboys this fall!

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA
