📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Home Sweet Home. This picture is forever etched in OSU Wrestling history. A 2008 National Champion.

Scott spent the last eight years as head coach at North Carolina and comes off a 2023 campaign in which he led the Tar Heels to a 12th-place national finish, UNC's best since 1995, and coached Austin O'Connor to his second NCAA individual championship.

During his OSU career, he is one of only 15 four-time All-Americans in program history and was a 2008 NCAA individual champion. He was part of OSU national championship teams in 2005 and 2006.

He also won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

After the Olympics, Scott broke into coaching with two years as a volunteer assistant at OSU before getting a full-time assistant position at North Carolina for the 2014-15 season. After one year as a UNC assistant, he was elevated to head coach.

🔼 Cup Full of Cowboys. Can you make it two please?

Last week, it was announced that Viktor Hovland would be a member of Team Europe in the Ryder Cup. This week, another Cowboy earned a spot in the prestigious event.

Wyndham Clark was named to Team USA for the first time in his career, making him the fifth OSU golfer to earn a spot in the event.

Clark is having a career year with two PGA Tour wins, seven top-10 finishes and 13 times in the top-25. He currently sits ninth in FedEx Cup points.

🔼 Ten More Days. That’s right, we are just 🔟 days away from the return of OSU cross country.

The two national powerhouses returned to Stillwater this week after being away at camp for a few days. The Cowboys and Cowgirls open their season right here at home, when they host the OSU Preview on Friday, Sept. 1st.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 11 DAYS

11(.6) points per game.

While many classmates were overseas fighting in WWII, Oklahoma A&M’s football team was putting up historic numbers.

In its fourth season under Jim Lookbaugah, the Cowboys held opponents to 11.6 points per game. It’s the lowest scoring average allowed by any OSU team in the 100+ years of the program.

That season, the Cowboys finished 6-3-1 overall and earned a second place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference.

🎥 OSU MAX

No better time than now to pull out the VCR and pop in the tape!

Ok, well, maybe not that old of a rewind, but with the announcement of Coleman Scott’s return to OSU, we thought we’d throw it back on the Cowboys Rewind machine and check out his run to a 2008 National Championship.

15 years ago and we can still remember it like it was yesterday

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

Net Finder. Sophomore Logan Heausler is showing signs of a breakout season early on for the Cowgirls, finding the back of the net, not once, but twice already in 2023.

Not only are they the first two collegiate goals of her young career, but it also marks the second straight season a Cowgirl has scored goals in each of the first two games of the season.

Can you name the Cowgirl that found the back of the net in the first two games of 2022?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Olyvia Dowell.

The safe bet was probably taking all-time leading scorer Grace Yochum, but it was Dowell who found the back of the net three times in the first two games of 2022.

Dowell scored OSU’s first goal of the season in a 2-1 at Omaha, followed by two goals in a 4-0 win over Missouri State.

🤠 Have a great Tuesday, y’all!
