🔺 The Closers. Now, that’s what you call finishing with a flurry.

In the final round at NCAA Regionals on Wednesday, the OSU women’s golf blistered the course in East Lansing to the tune of 9-under 279, to claim second overall (-5) and punch their ticket to NCAA Championships later this month.

The 9-under was the best round by any team in any round at the regionals.

OSU knocked down 21 birdies in Wednesday’s round and were led by senior Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, who finished 8-under to claim third on the individual leaderboard.

Freshman Marta Silchenko was on fire in the final round, firing a 5-under, tied for the best round of the day to jump into the top-10 and finish seventh overall for the regional.

🔺 Haulin’ Them In. Hopefully, the Cowgirls packed a few extra empty suitcases for the ride home because they are going to need them.

Even before OSU opens play in the Big 12 Tournament, they’ve already brought in quite a haul, led by one of their leaders, Lexi Kilfoyl, who was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year on Wednesday.

The honor goes along with her third Big 12 Pitcher and National Pitcher of the Week accolades, which she brought home earlier this week.

🔺 Showtime. Not only is the Big 12 Softball Tournament get underway in OKC, the Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship kicks off today in Waco.

Both the men’s and women’s squads have been ranked among the top-20 nationally for most of the spring season and hope to make noise at this weekend’s championships.
