📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Searching For A Dozen. Time to leave it all on the course.

All the preparation. All the offseason work. It all comes down to these three days.

The OSU men’s golf squad is set to tee off this morning in Carlsbad, Calif. in the opening round of the NCAA Championships as the Cowboys hunt for national title #12 in program history.

Since the current format was implemented in 2009, OSU has advanced to match play nine times. The Cowboys finished second in 2010 and 2014, tied for third in 2011, 2019 and 2021. OSU tied for fifth in 2009 and 2017 before breaking through in 2018.

🔺 Three More Tickets, Please. On Wednesday, the Pokes started their planning for the NCAA Championships next month in Eugene, Oregon.

On Thursday, three more athletes joined the traveling party and did so in historic fashion.

Just one night after the Cowboys accomplished the same feat, three Cowgirls earned a spot in the women’s 10,000 meter final at the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history.

Taylor Roe, Gabby Hentemann and Molly Born each earned their spots in Eugene with top-12 finishes overall.

Roe ran a patient race for the first two miles before exploding to the lead with roughly 3,000 meters to go, never looking back on her way to an eight-second victory to secure the NCAA West Preliminary title. Hentemann and Born found each other in the pack and slowly picked off runners until they secured their spots in the top 12, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively.

🔺 Working Overtime. We hope you’ve got plenty of coffee on tap this morning because we’ve had some late nights and plan on even more this weekend.

The second-seeded OSU baseball boys worked overtime on Thursday night, but fell in a heart-breaking 5-4 decision to UCF on their way to the Big 12 Championship game.

Now, the Cowboys will have to battle back in a winner-take-all mindset with a date against Texas Tech on tap this afternoon for a berth in the Big 12 semifinals on the line.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 22.

That’s right, the Cowgirls are 22-1 at home this season. In those 23 games, OSU has outscored the opposition, 155-40, and holds a 35-6 advantage in home runs. OSU slugs .604 at home, while opponents slug only .274 in Cowgirl Stadium.
