Cowboy Brew 12/19: Let's Duel, Cowboy

Pokes Hit the Road to Take on Wyoming

Happy Tuesday Cowboys and Cowgirls. It’s like a scene out of an old John Wayne movie.

The tumbleweed blows across the screen. Cowboy boots appear.

“Let’s duel, Cowboy”

Ok, while it may not go down that way tonight in Wyoming, that’s how we’re going to picture in happening just to have some fun.

One thing for certain tho. The Cowboys are definitely going to win.

What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew! Check it out below!

🔼 Let’s Duel. One last road trip before the new year for the OSU wrestling team.

The Cowboys look to continue their hot streak after landing two top-20 victories last weekend and moving into the top-10 for the first time all season at #9.

Tonight is the 28th all-time meeting between the two programs as the two schools have faced off in every season (except the COVID year) since 2011-12.

🔼 Getting the Nod. Three games to go. One game out.

It’s Mason time.

With the Steelers heading down the stretch of the NFL season, head coach Mike Tomlin is calling on a Poke legend, Mason Rudolph, to take the reins at QB.

Tomlin announced on Monday that Rudolph will be the starting QB for next week’s HUGE showdown with the Bengals, another time battling for one of the six playoff spots in the AFC

🔼 A New Page. For four years in Stillwater, Drew Page teed up with some of the best players in the world.

The near seven years following his time as a Cowboy, Page continued to tee them up against the best the world had to offer, earning his tour card and playing golf in over 15 countries throughout his professional career.

Now, his golf career has taken on a new chapter.

🎟 SECURE YOUR SEATS

The Cowboys are going bowling yet again to extend their consecutive bowl appearances to the sixth-longest active streak in the country.

On December 27th, the Orange & Black will heat to NRG Stadium in Houston to battle out rival Texas A&M in the 2023 Texas Bowl.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 26-0-1.

OSU has never lost to the other Cowboys, holding a 26-0-1 all-time ledger. The first contest took place in 1956 in Stillwater, where OSU topped Wyoming, 21-3.

Last season, OSU downed Wyoming, 34-3, in its home opener at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The series now returns to Laramie, where OSU is 10-0-1 and last beat Wyoming on the road in December of 2021.

🤠 Enjoy your Tuesday, y’all!
